Nevada head coach Eric Musselman is in contract negotiations with Arkansas to become the next head basketball coach, per 247Sports Evan Daniels.

Musselman is expected to become the Hogs 14th head coach, barring any unforeseen breakdown in negotiation.

Musselman has been the head coach at Nevada since 2015, and he’s compiled an overall record of 110-34. Before getting into college coaching in 2012, he was the head coach for the Golden State Warriors (2002-04) and Sacramento Kings (2006-07). He was both an NBA assistant and a college assistant before taking the Nevada job in 2015. He’s made three straight NCAA Tournament appearances with the Wolfpack.

He has experience in the SEC as an assistant at LSU from 2014-15.

Arkansas parted ways with Mike Anderson almost two weeks ago. Anderson had led Arkansas to three of the last five NCAA Tournament appearances. Anderson finished 169-102 in his eight years with the Razorbacks.
