Report: Arkansas LB will transfer from program
Another Arkansas player is leaving the program to continue his career elsewhere. Redshirt sophomore Razorbacks LB Alexy Jean-Baptiste has decided to transfer, according to Trey Biddy of Hawg Sports.
Currently listed at 6-2, 235 pounds, Jean-Baptiste was part of UA’s 2016 recruiting class under former coach Bret Bielema. A 3-star recruit rated the No. 46 outside linebacker and No. 96 recruit from Florida, the Coconut Creek product pledged to Arkansas over 25 other scholarship offers, including Kentucky and Miami.
In his redshirt sophomore seasons (2018), Jean-Baptiste appeared in only one game, the 2018 season-opener against Eastern Illinois. He redshirted in 2016 and did not play in any games in 2017.
Remaking the roster is a big part of coaching changes. Biddy notes that Jean-Baptiste will be the 24th Razorback to have left the program in the last 12 months. Chad Morris was hired in December 2017.
Wish him the best…hope he does well at his next stop.
1 down, 3 more to go to make room for 29 recruits.
Actually, we already have the room for the 29 that CCM wants to sign. CCM mentioned earlier this year that he needed 24 to transfer in order to make the room needed. With this transfer, we’ve hit the mark he wanted.
According to your media that specializes in recruiting, that number is currently 4 and that information was shared last week. Agree or disagree but you will be hearing 4 more names.
I really liked this young man, hope he lands on a winning team. With the Hogs predicted to only win one conference game next year and the way things are changing, you can’t blame these young men for wanting a brighter future, just wish them the best in life !!
You are such a negative peen.
