Former Arkansas and South Carolina RB David Williams has spent the 2018 season on the Denver Broncos’ practice squad after being drafted in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Now, it appears he will get a chance on an NFL 53-man roster, as he’s reportedly on his way to Jacksonville to meet with the Jaguars.
Per reporter Ryan O’Halloran of the Denver Post, the Jaguars are expected to sign Williams on Tuesday:
Per source, #Broncos practice squad RB David Williams on way to Jacksonville tonight. Expected to sign with #Jaguars 53 man roster tomorrow.

The Jaguars are desperate for a good running back after losing Corey Grant for the season on Sunday. Meanwhile, star RB Leonard Fournette is dealing with a nagging hamstring injury.
We’ll see what role Williams has with the Jaguars moving forward, but they need him to step in and produce as quickly as possible.
