Arkansas; star running back Rocket Sanders is not expected to return to Wednesday’s action with an ankle injury. He left the game early in the first quarter and went to the locker room.

TO be honest, that has not been much of a problem for Arkansas’ offense, which has skyrocketed behind KJ Jefferson. This is what Arkansas was supposed to look like all season.

Arkansas currently leads 31-13 at the start of the 2nd half. backup running back AJ Green has looked good in Sanders’ stead, rushing for 39 yards and a touchdown. Jefferson has picked up most of the slack by himself, rushing for 96 yards and a touchdown on 11 attempts.

Jefferson has also been dangerous through the air. He’s thrown for 176 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception on the way to a 3-possession lead.

Arkansas is a monumental collapse away from claiming a Liberty Bowl victory.
