Arkansas has looked good to start the 2022 season.

The Razorbacks, who won nine games a year ago, are 2-0 to start the year after winning home games against Cincinnati and South Carolina.

As a result, Arkansas jumped to No. 10 in this week’s AP Top 25.

Most coaches would say that rankings don’t mean much at this time of year.

Razorbacks coach Sam Pittman would beg to differ.

“I tweeted out that we were No. 10, and then I got some responses, ‘well, it doesn’t matter,'” Pittman said Monday during his weekly press conference. “I ain’t tweeting it to (the media) or a 50-year-old man. … I’m trying to use it (for) recruiting.”

“I’m trying to recruit,” said Pittman emphatically. “We’re proud of it. Sure we’re proud of it.”

Arkansas will look to move to 3-0 on Saturday night with a home against Missouri State.

The Bears are coached by former Razorbacks head coach Bobby Petrino.
