Sam Pittman can keep his cards up when it comes to multiple injured Razorbacks players before Saturday’s game against No. 11 Alabama.

Razorbacks linebacker Chris Paul Jr., safety Alfahiym Walcott, defensive lineman Cameron Ball and cornerback Jaylon Braxton all remain in doubt. Only Ball practiced among that group.

“It’s still way too early to make a decision on the other fellas. I don’t know where we’ll be with those guys, obviously you have to practice to play well. So we’ll certainly take that into account, as well as their health,” Pittman said during the SEC media teleconference on Wednesday.

Cornerback Dwight “Nudie” McGlothern is expected to return after a concussion in the loss to Texas A&M on Sept. 30. McGlothern has been an impact player when healthy amid 2 interceptions, 1 forced fumble, 2 pass deflections, and 9 tackles.

“I feel pretty good about Nudie being able to go, and the rest of them probably still up in the air right now,” Pittman said.

It hasn’t been easy going on defense for the 2-4 Razorbacks this fall. Arkansas gives up 25.3 points per game and 340.7 total yards per game.

A banged up defense could spell trouble against the Crimson Tide. Alabama averages 31.2 points and 360 yards per game.
