Sam Pittman and the Arkansas Razorbacks entered the 2021 season with high expectations. It took 1 half for those expectations to implode.

On Saturday against Rice, the Razorbacks went into halftime trailing the Owls 10-7, thanks to several mistakes made by the offense. On defense, team captain and star LB Grant Morgan was ejected in the first quarter for targeting.

Before entering the locker room at halftime, Pittman spoke with the radio broadcasters. He said it could have been a lot worse if the defense wasn’t playing as well as it did:

Obviously, there’s still an entire second half to be played, so the Hogs could turn things around.

However, a loss to Rice would really sour many fans on this year’s Arkansas team.
