Arkansas has started its season banged up with some key players out, but head coach Sam Pittman gave a promising update on a few key players.

Pittman believes defensive back Myles Slusher could make his return on Saturday as the Razorbacks take on Texas A&M. Slusher was injured in the team’s season opener against Cincinnati. Details about his injury were not revealed, but it is believed to be an upper body injury.

“I think so, he’s looked really good, practiced extremely well,” Pittman said, via On3 Sports. “Yes, I think he’s ready to go. We’re glad he’s back.”

Slusher recorded 50 tackles, 0.5 sacks and 2 interceptions a season ago.

The Razorbacks also lost key safety Jalen Catalon for the season in their season opener. Along with Slusher, defensive lineman Jashaud Stewart is expected to return. Stewart was injured in last week’s game, but was optimistic he would return the next week.

Arkansas and Texas A&M kick off at 7 pm EST Saturday in Arlington.
