Sam Pittman didn’t waste any time to discuss the news of the day in Arkansas, as the coach opened his press conference on Wednesday when he said, “Welcome to Shamar Easter Signing Day.”

Easter, a 4-star tight end recruit out of Ashdown, Arkansas, was the final piece of Arkansas’ recruiting class.

“I really like this class, now 8 aren’t here yet,” he said. “But the high schools kids work ethic, (they’re) not needy, they are really good.”

Pittman called the new coaches he added to the staff as “recruiting machines,” and detailed where the Razorbacks stand with remaining scholarships.

“We could use another bigger guy inside on the D-Line, secondary we’ve signed 8 at this point, we would certainly take more there, I’d like to get another guy who can snap the ball,” Pittman said.
