Arkansas has played one of the toughest schedules in the country this season and it has taken a toll, as the Razorbacks have lost consecutive games to Georgia, Ole Miss, and Auburn.

This week, Sam Pittman’s team will be out of conference for FCS opponent Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

While there have been some FCS over FBS upsets this season, that’s not something that Pittman is concerned about. His focus is on his players and making sure they keep improving.

“We’re just worried about our own team this week and getting back on track,” Pittman said Wednesday during the SEC coaches teleconference. “A lot of positive energy at practice this week. Poised to make a run, but you can’t make a run without winning the first one. We haven’t talked any about losing to (FCS) teams.”

Pittman also offered injury updates on 3 of his key players. He said he is hopeful to get tight end Trey Knox back this weekend, but he aded that defensive tackle Markell Utsey and offensive lineman Dalton Wagner probably won’t be available.

“We’re still hoping to get Trey Knox back,” Pittman said. “Don’t believe we’ll be able to get Utsey back. Wagner won’t be back in time.”
