Sam Pittman shares how he'll decide on KJ Jefferson's availability against Mississippi State
Sam Pittman has a policy at Arkansas that if you can’t practice on Wednesday, you can’t play on Saturday. And he expected QB KJ Jefferson to be on the practice field on Wednesday. If that holds true, Jefferson will be on the plane to Starkville for Saturday’s game at Mississippi State.
“He’s going to be on the plane,” Pittman said. “How far — I’m assuming that I don’t get from here that he’s not going to practice at all. If he practices at all, he’ll be on the plane. And then I really do think you guys think I may or may be really vague on this, I have no idea, because I don’t know how well he’s going to react to physical movement. If he reacts really well, we’ll have a decision to make about what we’re going to move forward depending on how much he practices today.”
Pittman has said Jefferson had symptoms following the Alabama game, and Arkansas players and Pittman have discussed how the backup QBs could come in, if needed.
