Sam Pittman made another nomination as college football’s most colorful coach on Wednesday when he stepped to the podium at SEC Media Days in Nashville.
Pittman shared more about his taste in music: “I was on stage singing “Hot Blooded” with Foreigner last week. They shut my mic off. They must have been afraid I’d take their job. I have a job.”
And as is the case in most seasons, Arkansas has one of the toughest schedules in the country. Asked about a specific stretch that includes at LSU, against Texas A&M at a neutral site, then at Ole Miss and at Alabama, Pittman seemed ready to take it on.
“The gift that keeps on giving,” Pittman said.
Looking ahead to next season, Pittman is excited to face Oklahoma and Texas, primarily because proximity is good for the Razorbacks.
“Obviously we’re bringing 2 powerful, storied programs into the SEC, so we know they’re going to be really great opponents,” Pittman said. “But I think everybody’s excited, I’m excited. I’m from Oklahoma.”
