SEC Network makes interesting selection for debut of network's '2019 Football Takeover' marathon
Need your college football fix with the month of June winding down?
If so, you are in luck as the SEC Network began a new marathon of SEC football games from last season the network is calling the “2019 Football Takeover” that starts on Monday.
The SEC Network selected four games involving SEC programs from Week 0 or Week 1 of the 2019 season and three of the games on the list make a ton of sense but one is interesting, to say the least.
Here is the scheduled for Monday’s “2019 Football Takeover” provided by the SEC Network:
- Miami vs. Florida Noon ET
- Portland State vs. Arkansas 3 p.m. ET
- Duke vs. Alabama 6 p.m. ET
- Oregon vs. Auburn 9 p.m. ET
Clearly, one game doesn’t hit quite like the others.
Credit the SEC Network for at least giving Arkansas some coverage during a 2019 football marathon but a 20-13 season-opening win against Portland State isn’t going to generate much buzz — even from die-hard Razorback fans.
After this schedule was promoted online, as you could have predicted, Arkansas fans shared their thoughts on adding the Razorbacks to the slate:
