CJ Brown picked up scholarship offers from programs all over the country, but he has decided to play close to home. The Bentonville (Arkansas) standout has committed to play for Sam Pittman’s program.

Brown made his verbal pledge to Arkansas in a Thursday ceremony. He also had hats on the table for Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma State and Minnesota.

Brown also took to Twitter to share the big news to his followers. He posted a note with the following:

“First off I want to thank every coach that has recruited and believed in me throughout this process. Thank you to all the coaches who have gotten me to where I’m at today as a player. Thank you to my family and friends for always being there to support my decisions. Thank you to my high school coaches and trainers for putting in the hard work to help me achieve one of my first goals on this journey. Lastly, I would not be in the position I am in today without the hand of God watching over me and for that I am forever grateful to be able to grow my relationship with him each and every day. With all that being said, I am staying home. GO HOGS!!!”

Brown’s listed measurements are 6-feet, 185 pounds. He is rated 3-stars, the No. 6 recruit in Arkansas, No. 91 wide receiver and No. 702 prospect overall in the Class of 2024. With Brown on board, the Hogs now have a dozen pledges for 2024.
