According to a report from WholeHogSports, two Arkansas players are leaving the program.

Defensive end Tevin Beanum and linebacker Khalia Hackett will not be on the team going forward. Hackett was sparingly used — as he accrued six tackles in eight games. He is looking into playing at another institution.

Beanum has decided to quit the sport of football — despite playing in every regular season game. He finished with 21 tackles in a reserve role. It appears as if he’s in line to receive a medical exemption.

Neither performer appeared as a building block going forward. As such, two precious scholarships will be opened up for head coach Bret Bielema to utilize.
