The Chad Morris era in Arkansas is officially underway, as the Razorbacks announced the hiring of the former SMU coach on Wednesday.

Now Morris, a former Clemson offensive coordinator, will try to instill some life in a struggling Razorbacks program — one that didn’t qualify for a bowl game this season.

As you can see in the video below, shared by the Razorbacks on Twitter, Morris promises to bring an explosive offense with him to Fayetteville:

“We’ll be very explosive,” he said. “This will be one of the most explosive offenses in all of college football. You’ve got to run the football — I firmly believe that — but you’ve also got to be dynamic, you’ve got to be explosive, and you’ve got to think outside the box a little bit, too. We like to score and we like to score fast.”

With QB Cole Kelley and RB Devwah Whaley returning next year, Morris has some nice pieces in place offensively.

It’ll be tough to turn things around in terms of Arkansas’s record, but the new coach is excited for the challenge.
