Here’s what Arkansas coach Bret Bielema had to say following his team’s 27-14 loss to Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Saturday.

On Calvin Ridley’s long touchdown for Alabama:
“The double-move on the long touchdown swung the momentum to Alabama. Santos (Ramirez) just lost his eyes for a moment.”

On Alabama’s defense mostly shutting down his offense:
“Alabama’s defense is probably one of the better ones I’ve seen in 20 years of coaching. We couldn’t do anything with consistency.”
On going into the half with the lead:
“At halftime, everyone in the locker room expected to have success and win.”
On trying the fake punt in the second half:
“I could feel the momentum start to slide the other way.”
On moving forward after another loss:
“We have got to rebound. We have Auburn coming to town in two weeks. Have to get healthy. Have guys banged up. We are better in Week 6 than we were in Week 1. I think they’ll bounce back. Want to start turning some of this respect into wins.”
On the play of his defense:
“They are getting better every week. We are a 2-4 team. I know we are getting better.”
On offensive struggles:
“We couldn’t have any success on first down today. We wanted to keep it manageable (on third down). Their game plan held together and ours didn’t.”
