Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema’s Razorbacks held off Auburn in four overtimes to cling to a 54-46 Week 8 win in Fayetteville. Here are a few of the coach’s thoughts after the marathon game.
To SEC Network:
“I’m glad we got some conditioning in. Our guys they’ve been doing a great job of being resilient. We talk about playing one day at a time to get to where we need to be, obviously it was one play at a time today.”
“(on Kody Walker) Fresh legs, came in and handled the ball really, really well. I give a lot of credit to our offense and our defense, I know we gave up a lot of points, but with three or four overtimes, it’s hard not to do that.”
“(on Brandon Allen) He’s a gutsy kid. He’s really fought and battled through a lot, a lot of perseverance, and to get a win at home for that. The great thing is we’ve got five more games together, hopefully we get one more after that.”
“I couldn’t be more proud of our guys, great fans to get out here today whether it was an early game; it’s been awesome…woo pigs.”
Bielema: I’m glad that game was at 11, or else it would have ended at midnight.

Bielema: No injury update on Rawleigh. — Andrew Hutchinson (@NWAHutch) October 24, 2015
Bielema: Alex has been banged up during the week. He put the ball on the ground a couple times, so we wanted to go with Kody.

Bielema on B.A. Athletic QB now. Hopefully this is a catalyst to finish this off on a high, high note for him. — Thomas Murphy (@TomMurphyADG) October 24, 2015
Bielema: (Chris Jones) got in there and thumped it pretty good. Kendrick Jackson couldn’t play because of a concussion.

Bielema: Says Jojo Robinson’s absence was about class attendance. Suggests Jojo is probably going to have to look at other opportunities — Thomas Murphy (@TomMurphyADG) October 24, 2015
Bielema, on Alex Collins: He pissed me off. He was late to breakfast.

Bielema: (Liddell) came to me a couple weeks ago and wanted to switch to offense. I told him, “Whoa, whoa, slow down.” — Andrew Hutchinson (@NWAHutch) October 24, 2015
