Armoni Goodwin (Trussville, Alabama) has been committed to Auburn since May 22, 2020, but his recruitment is picking up.

The Alabama Crimson Tide is the latest program to offer Goodwin, and he shared the news on his Twitter page.

The 5-foot-8, 190-pound back is ranked as the nation’s No. 5 running back and the state of Alabama’s No. 4 prospect for the class of 2021, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Goodwin knows the Alabama offer is big; however, he still says he’s going to Auburn.

“It’s big, but … I’m still going to Auburn,” Goodwin told AL.com’s Ben Thomas.

“I talk to coach Cadillac (Auburn RB coach Carnell Williams) all the time,” he told AL.com. “I’m excited to get down there. I’ve talked to coach (Chad) Morris, the new OC, and I like what he has told me. He said they are going to give me the ball.”

The 4-star running back missed the 2019 season due to a knee injury suffered during Week 3, and his knee is about “90 percent” ahead of the 2020 season.

It’s not just Alabama coming after the Auburn commitment; it’s Arkansas, LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Nebraska, among others.

It’s easy to see why Goodwin is so highly coveted as a prospect:
