A week after news broke that Auburn freshman Justin Powell was entering the transfer portal, another Tiger is reportedly looking to leave The Plains.
Jake Weingarten was first to report that junior Jamal Johnson will be entering the transfer portal. Multiple outlets have since reported that an AU spokesperson has confirmed that Johnson plans to transfer from Auburn.
Johnson appeared in all 27 games, averaging 9.4 points per game last season. He stepped up at point guard after Sharife Cooper’s ankle injury in February.
It would not be Johnson’s first time transferring. He joined Pearl’s program ahead of the 2019-20 season, transferring from Memphis.
Breaking: Auburn junior Jamal Johnson will be entering the transfer portal, a source told @Stockrisers. The junior guard averaged 9.4 points per game for Bruce Pearl and the Tigers this past season.
