Former Auburn defensive back Rudy Ford has found a new home after he was traded from the Arizona Cardinals to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Ford, a sixth-round pick in 2017, was traded by Arizona in exchange for defensive lineman Bruce Hector, in a deal reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, among others. Ford played in 23 games last last two seasons for the Cardinals, and started one. He had seven solo tackles last season in 13 games.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Ford’s value may be as much as a special teams gunner as he could be in the defensive backfield. The Eagles recently waived Blake Countess, and needed depth at that position.
