Auburn basketball lands commitment from 5-star point guard

Saturday in Auburn is all about the AU-Mississippi State football game, but the biggest news of Friday night belonged to the Tigers basketball team.
Bruce Pearl and his staff landed a huge commitment as 5-star point guard Sharife Cooper pledged to Auburn. The Marietta, Georgia product is listed at 6-feet, 160 pounds and rated the No. 18 overall player in the class of 2020 on the 247Sports Composite. Cooper chose Auburn over offers from Florida, Kentucky and others. According to 247Sports’ database, Cooper is the highest-rated commit in Tigers basketball history.
Cooper’s junior highlights are sure to have AU hoops fans excited for the future of Pearl’s program:
