Will Muschamp’s departure has at least one recruit reconsidering his commitment to Auburn.

John Broussard, a four-star defensive back from Phenix City, Ala., said he will re-evaluate his options now that Muschamp has left to become the head coach at South Carolina and secondary coach Travaris Robinson will reportedly be joining him.

“Now I have to sit down and think about what I’m going to do,” Broussard told the Opelika-Auburn News. “I’ve been thinking about it a lot.”

However, Broussard said he has not de-committed from Auburn. He is just reconsidering his options.

“I really can’t say yet,” he said. “I really don’t know.”

Broussard is the No. 13 cornerback in the nation, according to 247Sports. In May, he committed to Auburn over LSU and Mississippi State. He plans to graduate this month and start college in January.

Although disappointed in Muschamp’s decision to leave, Broussard also said he understands the decision.

“Coaches have to do what they have to do,” he said. “I understand what he did, because he is getting the chance to be a head coach again. Who wouldn’t take that opportunity?”
