Auburn fans react to news that Cadillac Williams is joining Tigers' coaching staff
On Wednesday, it was officially announced that former Auburn RB Cadillac Williams was returning to the Tigers as the team’s RB coach.
Williams was one of the best rushers in Auburn history, finishing second only to Bo Jackson in rushing yards and setting the school record with 45 career rushing touchdowns.
It’s safe to say Williams is a welcome addition to the staff, as he’s already receiving plenty of support.
Auburn fans (including Cadillac’s former backfield mate, Ronnie Brown) took to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon to celebrate the hire and welcome Williams back to The Plains:
Congratulations to my friend, my former teammate & my brother, Auburn Running-Backs Coach, Carnell “Cadillac” Williams!!! God’s speed brother!!! #WarEagle #RBU

The rumor was that Auburn was making room for a big name at RB coach, and now we know. Cadillac Williams certainly looks to be a great hire to me! #WarEagle

Williams is clearly popular, and we’ll see if he can get the Auburn running game back on track in 2019 and beyond.
