Auburn basketball has landed a big-time commitment for its 2025-26 roster.

Kaden Magood, a blue-chip guard prospect, announced his commitment to play for Bruce Pearl’s program on Tuesday.

Originally from Louisville, Magwood heads to The Plains out of the Combine Academy in Charlotte. He is listed as measuring 6-1 and 170 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Magwood is rated 4-stars, the No. 1 player in North Carolina, No. 8 combo guard and No. 60 prospect overall in the 2025 recruiting class.

Magwood was highly sought after during his recruitment. In addition to Auburn, he received scholarship offers from 29 other programs, including Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, LSU, Mississippi State, NC State, USC, and Vanderbilt.

Magwood is Auburn’s second commitment in the 2025 recruiting class. He joins fellow 4-star combo guard Simon Walker out of Huntsville. Walker pledged to AU on Sept. 26.
