Auburn lands commitment from graduate transfer edge rusher from Western Kentucky, per report
Auburn is still putting the finishing touches on its roster for the upcoming 2022 season, and on Father’s Day, the Tigers added a veteran player to the mix.
The latest addition to the Tigers’ defense comes via the transfer portal from Western Kentucky.
Per Auburn Live, edge rusher Marcus Bragg has committed to Bryan Harsin and the Auburn program:
“I chose Auburn because it best fits my athletic abilities on the field,” Bragg told Auburn Live. “And I will be able to make a lot of plays because of the defensive scheme.”
In 3 years with the Hilltoppers, Bragg recorded 38 total tackles (4.5 for a loss) and 4 sacks. He also had 1 pass breakup and a forced fumble.
We’ll see what sort of role he works his way into for the Tigers this fall.
Four sacks in three years. Nice.
Auburn needs all the manpower it can get. How many believe Harsin survives the entire 2022 season ?
I think to speculate what you think is gonna happen is delusional and misguided. Not one person anywhere, not even on Auburn’s roster, has the first clue how this season will play out. We see this across CFB every single year and folks still think they know exactly what is going to happen.
I seem to remember a team back in 2019 that was mostly an afterthought because they had a transfer QB that couldn’t see the field for OSU. 1 transfer (for the most part) changed the trajectory for LSU that year.
Point is, there are too many unpredictable variables year in and year out to even begin to think you can call what will happen. How about we just let the season play out and then you’ll have your answer.
Relax aubie. Its what people do this time of year. The barn may not suck this year.
Guessing, predictions and opinions is what we have in the off season.
Who knows? If the boosters and rich alumni mind their own business Harsin might have chance at a decent season.
That schedule is brutal. Young man will get lots of opportunities to show the NFL something.
Has some experience under his belt. He will probably contribute right away.
