After a rough start, things are starting to go Auburn’s way on National Signing Day.

Following a commitment from 4-star DL Charles Moore, the Tigers picked up another big-time blue-chip prospect when elite Wellington (West Palm Beach, Fla.) RB Mark-Antony Richards announced his decision to sign with AU.

Evaluated as an athlete by 247Sports, the 4-star Richards is rated the No. 12 Florida product and No. 90 recruit overall on the site’s Composite rankings. The 6-1, 195-pounder clocked a 40-yard dash time of 4.56 seconds at The Opening competition camp as well as a 4.25-second shuttle time and a vertical leap of 37.10 inches.

After December’s Early Signing Period, Richards took official visits to Florida, Miami and Georgia, but announced Wednesday that he’s heading to Auburn. Throughout his recruitment, Richards talked about wanting to be used as a pure running back.

Richards is pledge No. 18 in Auburn’s 2019 recruiting class.
