Auburn lands transfer commitment from former Kansas defensive lineman
Auburn has received a transfer commitment from former Kansas defensive lineman Gage Keys.
A 6-foot-5, 290-pounder, Keys spent three seasons at Minnesota to begin his career (2020-22) before transferring to Kansas ahead of the 2023 season. He redshirted in 2020, then did not play in 2021. In 12 games with the Jayhawks this fall, he posted 21 tackles.
He’ll have two more years of eligibility with the Tigers, and he’s immediately eligible as a grad transfer.

With Marcus Harris moving on to the NFL, Auburn coach Hugh Freeze will looking for a new man in the middle on the defensive line. Keys can certainly make his case for filling the void. The bulk of his action with Kansas this past season came as a 3-tech.
Keys had 13 quarterback pressures to rank third on the Kansas defense.
He becomes the second known transfer pledge thus far for Auburn, joining former Georgia State receiver Robert Lewis. The 2024 class also includes 3-star Pike Road product Malik Blocton and 3-star Miami import Dimitry Nicolas.
