Auburn suffered a big loss on the recruiting trail on Saturday night.

The Tigers lost a commitment from 4-star defensive back Kendarius Reddick. The talented playmaker flipped his pledge to UCF and will now play for former Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn at UCF.

He shared his announcement with On3’s Hayes Fawcett:

Reddick had been committed to Auburn since last October. This is a significant loss for the Tigers, as Reddick is one of the top safeties in the country for the class of 2025.

He’s the No. 64 overall player and the No. 7 safety in the country for the class of 2025, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 12 player from the state of Georgia.

However, despite this setback, Auburn is still off to a hot start on the recruiting trail in the 2025 cycle. The Tigers already have 7 commits in their next class, including 5 from 4-star prospects. Reddick was previously Auburn’s top-ranked commit in the class of 2025.

Auburn’s 2025 recruiting class currently sits at No. 6 nationally, per 274Sports Composite rankings.
