Auburn loses tenured RB to NCAA transfer portal
Auburn lost reserve running back and primary return man Brian Battie to the transfer portal on Monday, according to several reports.
Battie is a former All-American kick returner from his time at USF, where he also rushed for 1,186 yards during the 2022 season. He transferred to Auburn and spent just 1 season on The Plains before entering the portal for a 2nd time on Monday.
And Battie saw less success against SEC defenses, rushing for 227 yards on 51 carries for an average of 4.5 yards. He will have 1 season of eligibility remaining after 3 seasons at USF (2020 Covid-19 eligibility year) and 1 at Auburn.
