The Iron Bowl went to Alabama Saturday and everything is still is in play for the Crimson Tide, the SEC Championship Game next Saturday and a likely spot in the playoffs after that.

Alabama is 11-1 now and winners of nine in a row after its 29-13 victory over Auburn.

But not everyone is singing their praises. Namely Auburn running back Peyton Barber.

“Don’t get me wrong, they’re (Alabama) a great defense, a great team,” Barber said. “But I don’t feel like they were the better team”

Auburn was able to move the ball effectively in the first half and hung with the Tide in a game full of field goals. Auburn rushed for 90 yards in the first half. But the Tigers gained only one yard on the ground in eight carries, opting to throw the ball more often.

Barber had just 29 yards on eight carries, falling short of his goal to reach 1,000 yards on the season. He’s at 947 now and will have to wait for the bowl game to get over the mark.
