Auburn PG Jared Harper is going to enter the NBA Draft process.

“Playing in the NBA has always been a dream of mine,” Harper tweeted Friday. “I’m very thankful for how God has guided me through this journey along with the continuous support from my family.”

Harper has not closed the door on returning to AU as he has not signed with an agent. Auburn coach Bruce Pearl expressed his support of Harper’s decision.

“With an SEC Championship won and a second team All Conference earned you go show em what you got!” Pearl tweeted. “Jared will learn and improve through this process[.]”

As a sophomore, Harper averaged 13.2 points and 5.4 assists per game. His 185 assists in 2017-18 tied for the fourth-highest total in a single season at AU with Gerald White in 1984-85. Harper helped guide the Tigers to a share of the regular-season conference title and a second-round appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

Harper joins teammate Mustapha Heron as the second Tiger to enter the draft.
