Auburn players not hanging their heads following SEC title game loss
The Auburn Tigers were playing like one of the best teams in the country until Saturday evening in Atlanta, when they lost the SEC Championship Game against Georgia by a score of 28-7.
In the rematch of The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry, the Tigers were run out of the building by a hungry Georgia squad — a team that will likely advance to the College Football Playoff.
Auburn’s star running back, Kerryon Johnson, was severely limited by a shoulder injury and that really hurt the team, but the Tigers were thoroughly outclassed on Saturday.
However, after the game, several Auburn players took to Twitter to express their love for their team, even in the aftermath of a brutal loss:

The Tigers are still likely to make it to a solid bowl game, so there’s a lot to play for at Auburn. However, expectations will need to be shifted, as many felt the Tigers would be on their way to the CFP at this point.
