Auburn sees defensive back, former 4-star recruit, reportedly enter transfer portal

Published:
Eric Reed Jr., a freshman defensive back out of Shreveport, Louisiana, has reportedly entered the transfer portal at Auburn.
Reed’s news was reported by Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports, and it comes at a position that has had plenty of volatility lately. The Tigers added 3 defensive back recruits in the class of 2022, but also saw Dreshun Miller enter the transfer portal last week, Roger McCreary declare for the NFL Draft, Malcolm Askew exhaust his eligibility, and Ladarius Tennison and Ahmari Harvey transfer.
Reed saw only very limited playing time with Auburn. Reed was a 4-star recruit with 13 offers coming out of high school.
