Auburn will bring in a former Notre Dame wide receiver for a visit, per a report.
The Tigers are welcoming Jayden Thomas to town, who spent the previous 4 seasons in South Bend with the Fighting Irish. That’s according to On3’s Pete Nakos.
Thomas played in all 16 games for the Irish in 2024 and collected 18 catches for 167 yards and 2 touchdowns. The wide receiver entered the portal on Wednesday after his team fell just short of winning the title game against Ohio State.
Before going to Notre Dame, Thomas starred for Pace Academy in Atlanta, GA. The WR was rated as a 4-star prospect, the No. 51 WR, and the No. 25 prospect out of Georgia in the 2021 class.
The speedy receiver’s best season came in 2022 when he caught 25 passes for 361 yards and 3 touchdowns. In total, the WR caught 64 passes for 838 yards and 7 TDs during his Notre Dame tenure.
Auburn has done an admirable job of adding talent to the offense this offseason. After finishing with the No. 71 scoring offense in the country in 2024, the team added weapons all over the offense. Quarterback Jackson Arnold was brought in, as were wide receivers Eric Singleton Jr. and Horatio Fields. Tight end Preston Howard from Maryland was another key addition to this unit.
The team has also added on defense in the portal, bringing in defensive back Raion Strader, edge Chris Murray, and linebacker Xavier Atkins.
Thomas is also set to visit UCLA next week, per On3’s report. There is no timetable for Thomas to make a final decision.
