Auburn transfer linebacker DeMario Tolan is no longer with the program, according to multiple reports on Wednesday.

AL.com’s Matt Cohen was the first to report the news. Tolan is no longer listed on the team’s online roster. It’s unclear what prompted the departure, but Tolan had just arrived in January from LSU.

The 6-foot-1 Tolan spent 1 season at LSU before entering the transfer portal on Jan. 4. As a freshman, he played in 12 games for Brian Kelly’s squad, recording 10 total tackles. Tolan had a season-high 4 tackles in LSU’s win over Ole Miss.

He was a sought-after recruit out of the 2022 class. An Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips product, Tolan was a 4-star recruit in the industry-generated 247 Composite and ranked as the No. 20 linebacker. He was the No. 24 recruit from the state of Florida and sat at No. 204 in the national player rankings.

During his high school recruitment, Tolan took official visits to LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Miami, and Tennessee before deciding on the Tigers.

Tolan arrived at Auburn with 4 years to play 3.
