Auburn walk-on RB surprises mother with news he’s on scholarship

Auburn running back Sean Jackson had some exciting news for his mother: he’s now on scholarship.
Jackson couldn’t wait to share the news, calling his mother from the field at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Jackson’s mother was audibly excited by the news. Head coach Bryan Harsin shared his congratulations, noting Jackson has been working hard during practice. According to Auburn Undercover’s Nathan King, Jackson has been getting second-team reps in spring practice with Jarquez Hunter out.

Out of Hewitt-Trussville, Jackson chose to walk on at Auburn over a scholarship offer from UAB. As a class of 2021 prospect, Jackson was rated 3-stars, the No. 158 running back and No. 93 player in the state of Alabama on 247Sports. Jackson appeared in 4 games last season. He carried the ball 10 times for 38 yards and a touchdown against Alabama State.
