Auburn to be without leading scorer Bryce Brown against Georgia
Heading into Saturday night’s matchup between Auburn and Georgia in Athens, it was looking like a showdown between Auburn guard Bryce Brown and Georgia forward Yante Maten, the SEC’s leading scorer.
However, Auburn’s offense will take a big hit, as Brown will be unable to go while dealing with a shoulder injury.
Auburn reporter Greg Ostendorf shared the bad news for coach Bruce Pearl’s squad on Twitter on Saturday afternoon:
Auburn guard Bryce Brown (shoulder strain) will not play today at Georgia.

Maten leads the conference with 19.3 points per game, while Brown is the fifth-leading scorer with 16.6 points a night.
Can the Tigers hold off the Bulldogs without their star guard? That remains to be seen, but the road game in Athens just got much tougher.
