As the Auburn Tigers prepare to take on Florida on Tuesday night, they’ll do so without one of their best players.
Star freshman Sharife Cooper wasn’t listed in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s game, sparking speculation about why he wasn’t getting the nod.
An Auburn spokesperson quickly set the record straight. Cooper will miss the game against the Gators with an ankle injury:

That’s a big blow for the Tigers, as Cooper is one of the top freshmen in the entire conference.
Cooper has appeared in 12 games this year, starting all of them. He averages 20.2 points, 8.1 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1 steal per game.
