Landen King was a tight end at Auburn who switched positions and moved to wide receiver for the 2022 season.

Now, though, King will apparently not suit up for the Tigers for the remainder of the year. According to AL.com, he will don a redshirt, ending his sophomore season. He has appeared in 3 games this year, making 1 catch for 24 yards.

In 2021, at the TE spot, King made 5 catches for 59 yards in 3 games. He had a pair of grabs against Georgia and Arkansas before his first career touchdown against Alabama.

A former 3-star recruit, he was considered the No. 29 tight end in the class of 2021 by 247Sports.

Auburn is currently 3-2 (1-1 SEC) after a loss to LSU on Oct. 1. It next travels to face Georgia at Sanford Stadium on Saturday, a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff on CBS.
