Auburn's updated roster shows receiver moving to DB, new position for transfer Caylin Newton
With some important dates coming up in the SEC world, including walkthroughs starting on Aug. 7, the Auburn Tigers have made some roster updates.
A couple of the main takeaways from the Tigers’ updated online roster include a receiver moving to the secondary and Howard transfer QB Caylin Newton, the younger brother of Auburn legend Cam Newton, being listed at a new position.
Newton will wear No. 23 and is listed as a wide receiver. Meanwhile, Matthew Hill is moving from receiver to defensive back:

Newton was the 2018 MEAC offensive MVP as a quarterback, throwing for 2,629 yards and rushing for 504 yards. He combined for a total of 26 touchdowns that year.
Hill had 8 catches for 46 yards in 2019, including 2 grabs against Alabama in the Iron Bowl.
