Auburn coach Bryan Harsin created a quarterback controversy for himself and the Tigers by benching starter Bo Nix against Georgia State on Saturday.

TJ Finley replaced Nix and led Auburn on a late touchdown drive that allowed the Tigers to escape with a come-from-behind 34-24 win.

After the game, Harsin was in no mood to discuss his plan for the QB position going forward, but on Monday some potential clarity was established when Nix was listed on the depth chart as the starter for Saturday’s game at LSU.

Nix struggled against the Panthers before being pulled, competing just 13 of 27 passes for 156 yards.

But the 6-3, 214-pounder had played well in the first three games of the season, passing for 568 yards, 5 touchdowns, and no interceptions.

No. 22 Auburn’s game at LSU will kickoff at 9 p.m. EST and be televised by ESPN.
