After a terrible outing against Florida in Week 6, Auburn quarterback Bo Nix has received plenty of criticism. But according to the quarterback’s mother, Krista, he’s had plenty of support as well.

Krista took the time a few hours after Auburn’s loss Saturday to thank all of his supporters on her Facebook page.

“Sweet friends … thank you for your kind words and support for Bo and Auburn with once again more texts and messages than I can return,” she wrote. “I did a great job of ‘unfriending’ six weeks ago when Bo was named starter, so I’m really just surrounded by love and encouragement.”

Here’s all of what Krista wrote in her post:

Nix was one of the best stories around the SEC in September. In Week 1, he struggled against Oregon but rallied Auburn past the No. 13 Ducks, 27-21, with a touchdown pass in the final minute. That led to five straight victories to begin the season, and in those games, Nix threw seven touchdowns versus only two interceptions.

But his early career success bubble burst in The Swamp last Saturday, as he completed a season-low 40.7 percent of his passes for 145 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions.

Auburn has a really tough remaining schedule, so with one loss already, a College Football Playoff appearance seems unlikely, but having said that, if the Tigers run the table, they will have one of the best resumes in the country. That should be what Nix’s support group, and really all Auburn fans, should be focused on the rest of the year.
