Auburn softball is moving on to the next round of the Clemson Regional. The Tigers beat the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns 4-3 on Friday.

The Tigers needed a big game from Bri Ellis on Friday, and she delivered just that. After the Ragin’ Cajuns scored in the 1st inning off of a fly out, which let a runner in, Ellis delivered her 1st home run of the game to make it 2-1 in the bottom of the 1st.

The 2 teams traded scores in the 2nd and 3rd innings. However, part of the reason that the score remained as close as it was is due to the home run that was robbed by Auburn’s Lindsey Garcia.

It would be Ellis’ 2nd HR of the day that would seal the deal for the Lady Tigers in the bottom of the 6th inning.

Maddie Penta pitched all 7 innings, allowing 2 runs off of 5 hits. She also had 5 strikeouts. Auburn will now face Clemson at 1 p.m. ET, with the winner moving on to the championship game on Sunday.
