Auburn football is officially down an offensive lineman.

Tigers head coach Bryan Harsin announced Monday that center Nick Brahms is “officially done with football now.” He noted that Brahms feels he is “just not there physically to go out there and play at the level that he wants to be at,” according to a report from Justin Ferguson of The Auburn Observer.

Tate Johnson is now listed as the starter at center ahead of the team’s season-opener, so he will be the one snapping the ball to quarterback TJ Finley, who also just recently cemented his place as the starting signal-caller for the team.

Auburn and Mercer are set to kick off at 6 p.m. CT on Sept. 3 at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
