For the 2nd year in a row, Bryan Harsin is seeking an offensive coordinator for his Auburn staff.

Last year, Harsin had just been hired as the Tigers’ head coach before he opted to bring in Mike Bobo to serve as his top offensive assistant. However, Bobo was let go following the 2021 regular season, and now Harsin is looking for his replacement.

According to Zach Barnett of Football Scoop, Harsin is expected to “opt for the familiar” with this hire, per “sources in the profession.” And that could mean turning to Zak Hill, who was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach under Harsin at Boise State from 2016-19.

Hill has spent the past 2 seasons as the offensive coordinator and QBs coach at Arizona State. But perhaps he’d be interested in leaving to reunite with Harsin at Auburn.

It may not be long before Harsin brings somebody in, as Barnett reported that the Auburn head coach is “planning to move quickly with the hire.” So whether or not Harsin decides to reunite with Hill, we should know 1 way or the other pretty soon.
