It just means more in the Southeastern Conference and Bryan Harsin and his family got the opportunity to experience that recently as Auburn introduced the new first family of Auburn Football to the school’s trio of live animal mascots.
Aurea, also known as War Eagle VIII, has been Auburn’s official live mascot since late in 2019 and the Harsin family got their first official introduction recently to the school’s famous mascot.
Aurea has a 6.5-foot wingspan and weighs 8 pounds according to Auburn’s official website.
Check out the video below, shared by Auburn’s official football account, featuring the pride of the Southeastern Raptor Center, Aurea the eagle.
Definitely a War Eagle day for @CoachHarsin and his family meeting with Aurea, Spirit and Indy at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
