Cal lists key offensive playmaker as probable for matchup vs. Auburn
Cal is gearing up for the kind of road trip that is tough under any circumstances. However, the Bears could be a bit shorthanded when they make the trek into Jordan-Hare Stadium to face Auburn.
On Tuesday, head coach Justin Wilcox met with the media and announced that star running back Jaydn Ott is probably for the game vs. Hugh Freeze’s Tigers. Wilcox would add he has hope that wide receiver and Ohio State transfer Kyion Grayes will be able to play.

Ott is not just a leader for Cal, he has been one of the most productive running backs in the entire country the last 2 seasons. He rushed for over 1,300 yards with 14 total touchdowns in 2023 and averages 5.3 yards per carry in his career.
Though Ott was limited to 49 yards on 14 carries in a season-opening win, he did score 2 touchdowns against UC Davis. If he is unable to go, Cal could be in for a long afternoon in the SEC.
Auburn is already a 13-point favorite per ESPN Bet after the Tigers dismantled Alabama A&M in Week 1.
