Hello, Cam Coleman.
Auburn’s true freshman wide receiver decided to get things going after a slow start for both Auburn and Missouri offensively. The former 5-star prospect streaked past Mizzou defenders and reeled in a perfect pass from Payton Thorne for the first touchdown of the day in Columbia.

The above score is just Coleman’s 2nd touchdown reception of the season, a testament to how much the Tigers have struggled on offense this year. It’s the longest play from scrimmage for either team and the longest reception of Coleman’s college career to this point.
More importantly, it’s exactly what the Tigers needed right now. Auburn put up less than 150 total yards in the first half, and Payton Throne was having a tough time finding any open receivers.
Coleman is sitting at just 10 receptions on the season so far, with 252 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns including Saturday’s game. The above touchdown reception is his only catch of the game so far, a trend that’s sure to change moving forward in the 3rd and 4th quarters.
Auburn currently leads Missouri 17-3 with just over 11 minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter following a muffed punt returned for a touchdown by the Tigers special teams unit.
