Charles Barkley calls out the NCAA: 'They are like the Barney Fife of the world'
Charles Barkley, as only he can, recently took a flamethrower to the NCAA live on national television.
Barkley may be working an event run by the organization but that didn’t stop the popular basketball analyst and proud Auburn graduate from calling out the notion that the NCAA has any idea of how to successfully run college athletics.
“The NCAA they are like the Barney Fife of the world. They do an awful job of administrating,” Barkley says in the clip posted below. “We got guys on tape paying players, three years ago – they ain’t said nothing about it.”
While he didn’t mention any names there, Barkley is clearly talking about LSU coach Will Wade.
Check out his entire rant on the NCAA below:
This is why Charles Barkley is one of the best & highest paid broadcasters in network TV sports. Only one at this high a level willing to say this. Might just be his ticket out of doing these college shows. pic.twitter.com/jiIfmSHRf2
